Product Description

(1) Overview

The 173090-2 is a 2-position plug housing assembly from the ECONOSEAL “J”-II connector series. It is designed as a female terminal housing for wire-to-wire applications. The housing accommodates .070 series receptacle contacts and is sealable to provide water-tight performance. The product features a rectangular shape, black color, and is made of glass-filled PBT material. It is intended for 12 V nominal voltage architecture and power circuit applications.

(6) Mating and Accessories

The 173090-2 plug housing assembly mates with the corresponding cap housing (e.g., 173063 for 2-position). A seal ring is attached to the plug housing to provide water-tight connection when mated. Rubber plugs are used on wires next to the crimp for sealing. Cavity plugs are used for unused cavities. Compatible receptacle contacts include 171630 and 171661 series. Rubber plugs and cavity plugs are available in NBR (nitrile butadiene rubber) or silicone (900324, 900325).
